This story starts out with McCandless laying outside a deserted bus in Alaska. The Author spends his time re-tracing McCandless steps for the two years the McCandless was missing. While doing this he kept a journal of his experiences. This plant eventually killed him because it stopped his intake nutrients, and McCandless starved to death. When McCandless body was found, he weighed roughly 67 pounds.

Adventure

A Place that I have never been to and would like to visit one day is Alaska. Alaska is the setting of the book of “Into the Wild”, but also my grandparents went there for their anniversary, and they said it was fantastic and beautiful. Alaska is part of the United States even though it is not connected to the other states. Alaska’s lowest normal temperature in the winter is about -15.7 degrees, and the lowest normal summer temperature is about 36.4 degrees. Alaska is known for its cold weather, beautiful scenery, glaciers, and salmon.
If I was going to go to Alaska I would get their through a cruise ship, which is the way my grandparents went. I would go this way because, not only would I get to have a nice ride to a faraway place, I could see the glaciers up close and I would have a tour guide showing me all the best places to go, and what scenic places to see. Before I left for Alaska, I would take a lot warm clothes for the cold weather, and I would take other things like matches and power bars that I would use on hikes just in case I got lost somewhere in Alaska. While I am in Alaska I would go on hikes to see all of the views there are to see and then I would visit all the shops I could to get many Alaskan things that I could, for example a bear tooth or a fur coat. Also I would also learn make an igloo the right way, so it does not collapse, before I would leave Alaska for my cruise home to my hometown Maryland.
